Individual Mental Health Counseling

Therapy for Adults Navigating Anxiety, Trauma, Relationships, and Life's Challenges

Virtual Mental Health Counseling for adults virtually in East Longmeadow and throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York.

Therapy can provide a space to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and better understand the patterns that may be affecting your life. Whether you're dealing with a specific concern or have a sense that something needs to change, individual counseling can help you explore what is happening and identify practical ways to move forward.

I provide virtual individual counseling for adults in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical, with treatment tailored to your individual circumstances, goals, and needs.

Who I Work With

I particularly enjoy working with women and mothers who are navigating the often competing demands of relationships, parenting, family, work, and their own emotional well-being.

You may be seeking therapy because you:

  • Feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted

  • Have difficulty setting or maintaining boundaries

  • Find yourself repeating patterns in relationships

  • Are navigating challenging family or co-parenting dynamics

  • Are struggling with self-esteem or your sense of identity

  • Have experienced trauma or difficult relationships that continue to affect you

  • Are going through a significant transition or period of change

  • Feel disconnected from yourself or unsure of what you want

  • Understand what you should do but have difficulty changing how you respond

  • Want to better understand yourself and make meaningful changes

You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Sometimes therapy begins with simply recognizing that the way you've been coping isn't working as well as it once did.

Areas We May Work On

Anxiety, Low Mood & Emotional Regulation

Anxiety and Depression can affect your thoughts, relationships, sleep, decision-making, and ability to feel present in your life. Therapy can help you understand your anxiety, recognize patterns that contribute to it, and develop more effective ways of responding to stress.

Trauma & Difficult Experiences

Past experiences can continue to affect how you see yourself, respond to situations, and relate to others—even when you logically understand that the experience is in the past. Therapy can provide space to process difficult experiences and explore how they may be affecting your life today.

When appropriate, trauma-focused approaches such as EMDR and FLASH may be incorporated into treatment.

Relationships & Boundaries

Relationships can become complicated when expectations, communication patterns, family dynamics, or longstanding roles make it difficult to express what you need.

Therapy can help you understand relational patterns, communicate more effectively, establish healthier boundaries, and make decisions that are consistent with your values.

My Approach

I don't believe therapy should be a one-size-fits-all process.

Our work will be shaped around your individual needs and goals. I integrate multiple evidence-based approaches and may draw from cognitive, behavioral, trauma-focused, and other therapeutic modalities depending on what is appropriate for you.

Therapy with me is collaborative, but it is also practical. We will work toward understanding the patterns affecting you, processing experiences that continue to have an impact, and identifying what is within your control.

My goal is not to tell you who you should be or what decisions you should make. It is to help you understand yourself well enough to make more intentional choices and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

What to Expect

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brings you to therapy.

We'll discuss what's happening in your life, relevant history, your concerns, and what you hope to accomplish through therapy. From there, we'll work together to identify appropriate goals and determine what approaches may be helpful.

You don't need to have everything figured out before your first appointment.

You don't need to know exactly what to talk about.

And you don't need to know which type of therapy you need.

That's part of what we can figure out together.

Virtual Counseling

All sessions are provided virtually through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Virtual therapy allows you to access counseling from a private space that works for you without adding a commute to your day.

For adults balancing work, parenting, relationships, and other responsibilities, the flexibility of telehealth can make it easier to prioritize your mental health.
